The Wright Advocacy for Survivors
Giving a Voice to Children and Teens Living with Disabilities
For pediatric cancer survivors, navigating the everday world of working, going to school, and enjoying activities and sports is a daunting task. Fortunately, there are professional organizations that can se
rve their interests to make sure that they are afforded the best opportunities. Attorney Peter Wright is one of these guiding lights who advocates for chidren with disabilities. SurvivorVision's founder Julia O'Malley Stepenske had the pleasure of meeting Peter at an APHOES conference recently and was thrilled to learn all about his good works.
Through his website www.wrightlaw.com, Peter continues provides a wealth of online resources, articles, and guidlines about special education law, for survivors and their families. In addition, Wrightlaw's Yellow Pages for Kids is a great resource for families to search for educational consultants, tutors, health care providers, speech language therapists, coaches, and law offices by state.
We encourage you to visit Wrightlaw and the Yellow Pages for Kids. You never know what special resources you may find for a child in need. Happy hunting!
